Appointments and Cancellations

You are responsible for attending each appointment and agree to adhere to the following policy: If you cannot keep the scheduled appointment, you MUST notify our office to cancel or reschedule the appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time. The no show fee is $40, which applies to actual no shows and cancellations without 24 hours notice. We do not refund no show fees. The first no-show/late cancellation will be waived. #3 no shows or late cancellations within a 365 day period can result in discharge from the practice.

Controlled Substances

Medications such as benzodiazepines and stimulants are tightly regulated by the DEA and are used to treat anxiety disorders. Common names include Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, Valium, Adderall, etc.

Due to upcoming changes in DEA regulations, we will no longer be accepting patients who are currently prescribed controlled substances. To avoid any disruptions in your care, we strongly recommend seeking an in-person provider in your local area. If you choose to proceed with a telemedicine consultation, please be advised that no controlled medication will be prescribed during the initial evaluation.

Any aggressive or inappropriate behaviors in or around the prescribing of controlled substances will result in as rapid of a taper as is medically safe per guidelines.

Non-compliance with appointments, staff harassment, or aggressive behavior will result in safe taper-controlled substances or refills-noncontrolled of the medication and immediate discharge.
